Hotel Dalmine – More than half a century ago, the two emigrants Ernesto and Anna Dentella decided to leave Bergamo and began a new life and adventure in France, exhibiting strong commitment to the hospitality industry. They fully dedicated themselves to agricultural activities in Gascony, a land famous for producing the best Armagnac, and for giving prominence to the characters created by the writer Alexandre Dumas, the well-known Three Muskeeters.
The early fifties marked a turning point in the family business as this is when Dentella’s daughters came on the scene and entered the hotel market: thanks to their of zeal and enthusiasm, Rina and Irma were asked to manage the hotel “La Cascade” in Saint Gervais le Bains, a popular spa and ski resort in the Alta Savoia area.
In the sixties Irma chose to come back to Italy, set up her business in Dalmine, and open a hotel and restaurant called “La Piccola Parigi”, whose name paid homage to the experience in the Alps. This period was characterized by an original and creative approach in which the woman combined the French culinary tradition with the Italian specialities as well as the exotic flavours with local recipes.
In the subsequent decades, the hotel enjoyed an increasing success which led the granddaughter Graziella to take an important and significant decision. At the beginning of the nineties she designed a larger structure which perfectly blended the philosophy of “La Piccola Parigi” with more innovative concepts regarding the hotel world. And this is precisely where the name of the new hotel comes from: “Parigi 2” not only keeps following the traditions but also meets guests’ modern expectations and requests.
